Newswise — Dr. M. Minhaj Siddiqui is available for interviews about prostate cancer in light of former President Joe Biden’s diagnosis of aggressive prostate cancer.
Dr. Siddiqui is a fellowship-trained specialist who serves as Director of Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery at the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He is also a Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine
Dr. Siddiqui specializes in surgical management of urologic cancers with a particular focus on prostate and bladder cancers. He focuses on complex cases such as patients with extensive medical histories or aggressive tumors. When appropriate, he uses the da Vinci robotic surgical system, which allows surgeons to perform complex, minimally invasive procedures with precision.
Dr. Siddiqui joined the faculty at University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2014 and has been actively involved in research. He has authored or co-authored studies published in major journals such as JAMA and the New England Journal of Medicine.
