
DENVER (KDVR) — The Mile High City was named one of the best places in the country to spend Valentine’s Day this year, but a new list shows Denver is home to some of the best date night places all year long.
Denver is home to some of the best restaurants for date night in the U.S., according to Yelp.
The review platform recently released its list of the 100 best date night restaurants across the country, featuring four in Colorado.
The list was curated based on reviews, specifically those mentioning terms like date night, romantic, Valentine and anniversary. Yelp said the list highlights places with an intimate atmosphere and romantic ambiance.
Here are the top five date night restaurants in U.S., according to Yelp:
- Cesarina — San Diego
- Club A Steakhouse — New York,
- Intero Restaurant — Austin, Texas
- Penumbra — Chicago
- Maccheroni Republic — Los Angeles
These Colorado restaurants were listed in the top 100:
- No. 18: Nocturne — Denver
- No. 23: Guard and Grace Modern Steakhouse — Denver
- No. 30: Rootstalk — Breckenridge
- No. 64: Sushi Den — Denver
Nocturne, located on 27th Street between Larimer Street and Walnut Street, is a great place for dinner and a show. The jazz music club serves wine and cocktails alongside a menu of options for a three course meal or snacks.
Guard and Grace Modern Steakhouse, located at 1801 California St., is said to have one of the best steaks in the world and has been recognized for its cuisine multiple times. Yelp Elites also named Guard and Grace as the best place to eat in Denver.
Rootstalk, located on Main Street in Breckenridge, was opened in late 2020 by Chef Matt Vawter, a Summit County local who won the 2024 James Beard Award for Best Chef: Mountain. The menu features a seven course seasonal tasting menu and protein options like scallops, lamb loin, duck breast, octopus, chicken, crab and more.
Sushi Den, located at 1487 South Pearl St. in Denver, serves a variety of seafood options from all around the world including crab, calamari, salmon, cod, mussels, shrimp, octopus, yellowtail, eel and more.
