
CHICAGO — A 41-year-old woman was killed and a man was injured in a crash on the Southwest Side.
The fatal crash happened around 3:10 a.m. Thursday on the 7700 block of South Cicero Avenue.
According to police, a Nissan Altima was traveling northbound when the woman lost control of the vehicle and struck a pole.
The woman sustained multiple injuries and was transported to Christ Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said a 35-year-old male passenger sustained minor injuries and was transported to Christ Hospital in fair condition. No other injuries were reported.
The Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.
