TROY, NY (NEWS10) — For the first time the Frontier League All-Star game is coming to Troy as the Tri-City ValleyCats will host the game in 2025. The league’s best players will take the field at “The Joe” on July 16th looking to showcase their talent.
The ValleyCats announced the schedule for the day that features events for fans throughout the afternoon and evening. The schedule is below:
- Fan Fest – 3:30 p.m.
- Autograph Session – 4:00-5:00 p.m.
- Home Run Derby – 5:30 p.m.
- All-Star Game – 7:05 p.m.
- Fireworks – Postgame
Representatives from the league’s 18 teams will be in the Capital region for the events, the ValleyCats are excited to host the 2025 All-Star game.
“It’s a real honor to be able to showcase not only the ValleyCats but the Capital region as a whole,” ValleyCats Vice President & General Manager, Matt Callahan, said. “We’ll be welcoming the entire league here, so we’re very excited and can’t wait to get started.”
The All-Star festivities will also provide an opportunity for the baseball fans in the area to enjoy the best the Frontier League has to offer. A reward for the fans of the ValleyCats who support the team throughout the year.
“I think it’s phenomenal for the entire baseball community of the Capital region,” Callahan said. “It’s such a strong and supportive fanbase and to be able to bring the best of the Frontier League here, guys that may go on to get signed by Major League organizations, some guys have already been part of Major League organizations, it’s gonna be a really good showcase of talent and I think it’s gonna be a great experience for the entire community.”
Mark your calendars baseball fans, the Frontier League All-Star game comes to Troy on July 16th, festivities begin at 3:30 p.m. with the game starting at 7:05 p.m.
