President Trump says he’s prepared to continue using “overwhelming, lethal force” against Yemen’s Houthi rebels, until they no longer pose a threat to shipping in the Red Sea.
The Iran-backed group has said it will resume attacks on Israeli ships unless Israel lifts its latest blockade on Gaza. Last night the US launched a wave of air-strikes on Yemen that killed at least 31 people and injured 101 others. And the Houthis say they have now hit back, targeting a US aircraft carrier and its warships.
