ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (KDVR) — The 2025 NFL Draft is in the books, and now the Denver Broncos are looking to turn the page toward a deeper playoff run.
In all, seven players were added to the Broncos roster as they wheeled and dealed their way through seven rounds of college athletes.
“This was a ‘trust the organization’ draft for the Broncos,” explained Darren McKee from Altitude Sports Radio. “Do you trust these guys or not? Because they went against conventional wisdom at every single pick.”
Denver defied much of the offseason projections, which leaned toward a draft priority focused on the offense, trying to find playmakers to assist quarterback Bo Nix. Instead, General Manager George Paton and Head Coach Sean Payton stuck to their board, often adding depth to positions of strength.
“This is a draft from a team that thinks they’re this close to winning a Super Bowl,” reflected McKee. “This was kind of a very cocky sort of draft, meaning we’re smarter than everybody else. And we are so good, we just need little pieces, not big pieces.”
