BBC Eurovision Song Contest fans are furious after the UK act Remember Monday were “booed” BEFORE even singing. “Why do we enter this c**p?” one fan wrote as the BBC show aired on Saturday night, hosted by Graham Norton.
Remember Monday finished in 19th place after their performance of What The Hell Just Happened?, despite getting nothing from the public vote. They scored 88 points from the national music industry juries and fared slightly worse than Olly Alexander who came 18th in Malmo in 2024.
“Welp. We’re already getting booed at #Eurovision! Why do we even try? I hope Remember Monday get at least 1 point!! Go UK,” one X user said.

A second typed: “@Rylan why did the United Kingdom just get booed. We do have pause and rewind and EBU tried to mask it.” And another asked: “Was that booing for the UK there? #bbceurovision.”
“Why do we enter this crap & give it money? UK always get 0 points as countries just vote for their neighbours & the audience booed the girls… We’re hated for leaving the union… GET OVER IT. T**ts #Eurovision,” a third typed.
“Did anyone else hear booing when the UK came on?? #Eurovision,” another said. Austria’s JJ won the Eurovision Song Contest with the emotional song Wasted Love, while Israeli singer Yuval Raphael was the runner-up.
The singer, real name Johannes Pietsch, opted for a black and white staging in Basel, Switzerland, which looked like a disastrous boat trip as he sang about someone he cared about being overwhelmed.
The 24-year-old winner was emotional as he said “thank you Europe, I love you all”, after performing his song for a second time.
The UK gave its top public vote of 12 points to Israel during the grand final, but the British jury awarded no points to Raphael’s New Day Will Rise as Israel finished with 357 points to Austria’s 436 points.
