A teenage boy was stabbed during a violent brawl on Irvine Beach.
Dozens of youths descended onto the beach in Ayrshire as temperatures soared on Saturday. The party turned into a tragedy as a youngster was attacked with a bladed weapon on the dunes.
Traumatic footage of the incident emerged online last night. The clip seen by the Record shows around 40 youngsters gathered on the dunes before a fight breaks out.
Later, a boy in a green t-shirt can be seen on the ground as pals are heard screaming. Friends then desperately try to lift him and carry him away from the scene.
Another boy, wearing all black, can be seen running away from the beach.
Members of the public reportedly tried to stabilise the boy before emergency service crews took over.
One horrified witness said: “I was there earlier and I saw paramedics working on him. My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends.”
Another added: “Emergency services responded fast. Horrific news for the family and all involved and witnessed.”
It is understood the youngster was blue-lighted to hospital.
His condition remains unknown.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
