Suspects on the run after road rampage leaves police cruisers, vehicles smashed, car stolen | CBC News

Police are asking for the public’s dash-cam footage after a driver went on a rampage through east London smashing into two police cruisers, narrowly missing another one and hitting three other vehicles.
Police said a woman was also pulled out of her vehicle and her car was stolen. Meanwhile, another bystander was taken to hospital with minor injuries as a result of the incident.
The London Police Service (LPS) said the chaos started Wednesday at around 7:45 p.m on Dundas Street, east of Argyle Mall. They said a man in a black pickup truck drove toward one of their police cruisers.
They said the officer was able to steer out of the way, alerting emergency responders to the truck’s description. The truck was next seen speeding west along Admiral Drive, prompting several Londoners to call 9-1-1.
Here, the driver crashed into two cruisers, damaging both, then continued to hit three other vehicles, all while driving on a damaged tire.
After stopping the truck near Marconi Boulevard and Trafalgar Street, police said the driver and an unknown number of passengers got out and car-jacked a woman in her vehicle. She was not injured, police said.
Investigators are now looking for a male driver, but have yet to give a description, and as many as two other passengers. They said the get-away vehicle, stolen from the woman, was found Thursday in the south-end of London.
Police are appealing to anyone with information, including dash-cam or surveillance footage, to contact them.
