Reflecting on the time spent with his celebrity campmates, Jones added: “I was surprised, friendships blossom really quickly in the jungle, there’s no distractions like phones of anything like that.
“Barry was my ‘jungle dad’, he always had my back, you’re very vulnerable in there.
“I didn’t expect to show my vulnerable side, only my nearest and dearest see that side of me.
“I’m on top of the world being crowned King of the Jungle. I’ve had a crazy year, I have a tour to do next year and was on the Masked Singer earlier this year. When I was offered I’m A Celeb – I just wanted to go for it!”
The star also received a warm congratulations from his fellow bandmate, Tom Fletcher and his wife, Giovanna, also an I’m A Celeb winner, who appeared by video. Tom said: “I feel like I’m surrounded by jungle royalty.

“Snakes seem to love you!” said Lorraine to Danny, as the two reflected on his time in the jungle. During week one, Danny got all five stars while having a snake crawling up his clothes.
He described the experience as “the most vulnerable I’ve ever felt in my life. If you haven’t had a snake in your pants, you haven’t done I’m a Celeb right!”
Joined by his wife, Georgia, Danny thanked his fans for their support throughout the last three weeks: “I feel overwhelmed, so many people voted for me and I’m forever thankful for their support.
“I feel connected to the UK and people at home in a different way. I’m so grateful for people’s support and it’s really rewarding being supported for being myself.”
