
HYDE PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10)– New York State Police and Hyde Park Police are investigating the death of an unidentified woman found at the Vanderbilt Mansion historical site on Friday. Police are treating the death as suspicious.
Around noon, a hiker found the body of the woman, lying face down, near the east shore of the Hudson River just south of Bard Rock, troopers said. On Tuesday, the Dutchess County Medical Examiner confirmed the woman was older in age.
They also said the woman had brown eyes, and gray hair, weighed 112 pounds and was 5 feet 5 inches tall. The Medical Examiner also said there were no scars, marks or tattoos on the body.
Anyone with information regarding a missing elderly woman or the case is asked to contact investigator Fillippini at 845-677-7300. Police ask that case number NY2400970235 be referred to when calling.
