Cheltenham: Thursday belongs to St Patrick as Irish lead the way on penultimate day of festival

Rachael Blackmore earned a double win at Cheltenham on Thursday, dedicating the victories to her cousin, Robert Blackmore, on the day he was laid to rest.

The Tipperary jockey, one of the most successful female riders of all time, won the Ryanair Mares’ Novice’s Hurdle by half a length.
