San Francisco fire early Tuesday displaces 12 residents

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco firefighters responded Tuesday morning to a one-alarm residential fire in the Oceanview neighborhood. Twelve residents were displaced from the fire at 2828 San Jose Avenue, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

Fire crews at the scene around 3:43 a.m. were checking for extension of the blaze in the wall and roof, officials said on X. People were advised to avoid the area of San Jose Ave. between Sadowa and Broad streets.

The fire was contained to the attic, SFFD said, and under control by 3:48 a.m.

One resident was transported to an area hospital for unknown injuries.

SFFD did not immediately say what caused the fire.

The American Red Cross is assisting those who were displaced, SFFD said.
