Officers located the bike, which looks very similar to a mophead, after it was seen by a member of the public on Thursday (April 24).
North Yorkshire Police said the owner of the bike was told on Friday that it had been found.
“The electric bicycle that looks very similar to a moped was seen by a member of the public yesterday being stashed in some bushes, thankfully our local neighbourhood PCSO’s located the bicycle a short time later and had the bicycle recovered for safe keeping,” a police spokesperson said.
“[On Friday] the bicycle was reported stolen to police and a post was put on social media. The owner of the bicycle has now been informed
