Stunned drivers travelling on the M27 have spoken of their shock at seeing a cyclist travelling on the carriageway.
One eyewitness said the cyclist, believed to be male, was “getting told off by police”.
It has been reported he was cycling on the M27 near Whiteley and then Fareham.

The Highway Code, which sets out rules for all road users, states that cyclists must not ride on motorways.
Motorways are designed for high-speed, high-capacity traffic and are considered too dangerous for cyclists.
The Highway Code encourages cyclists to use cycle paths or cycle lanes where they exist.
It also advises cyclists to use the centre of the lane on roads where it’s safe to do so to increase visibility
