Humberside Police are appealing for information after a man died in a crash on the main road between York and Hull earlier today.
As reported by The Press, the A1079 at Wilberfoss was closed for most of today after a crash at 9 am.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “At approximately 9am a blue Suzuki VL800 motorcycle, a silver Hyundai I10, a dark coloured VW Caravelle and a white DAF HGV were involved in a collision on the A1079, Wilberfoss near to David Smith Garden Centre.
“Emergency services attended however the rider of the motorcycle suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
“The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist trained officers. Our thoughts are with them are this extremely difficult time.”
