North Yorkshire Police said the Can-Am plant, and a £2,000 Brian James trailer were taken from the Wishing Well Hotel in Oakney Wood Road, Selby.
A force spokesperson said a red Toyota Hilux stolen without keys from a property in Abbot’s Court in the town between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on February 18 was believed by them to have been used in connection with the theft of the equipment.
The spokesperson said: “We’re particularly appealing for information about the Can-Am – this item is a specialist piece of machinery.
