
EastEnders legend Danny Dyer was one of the big winners at the BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday night, taking home the gong for Best Male Performance in a Comedy
Danny Dyer emerged victorious at the BAFTA TV Awards, claiming the award for Best Male Performance in a Comedy.
The former EastEnders actor secured his first-ever BAFTA for his role in Sky Comedy’s Mr Bigstuff, outshining fellow nominees Bilal Hasna, Dylan Thomas-Smith, Nabhaan Rizwan, Oliver Savell, and Phil Dunning.
Visibly thrilled by his win, Danny delivered an impassioned speech, thanking his co-stars, management team, and other key individuals.
He also reserved a special mention for his daughters, Sunnie and Dani, who were in attendance, cheering him on from the audience.

Addressing them directly, he exclaimed, “Girls! Sunnie, Dani”, before adding a brief yet triumphant declaration in four-words: “I done it girls!” as he wrapped up his speech and proudly held aloft his BAFTA.
The camera then cut to Sunnie and Dani in the audience, capturing their ecstatic reactions as they celebrated their father’s achievement., reports the Express.
During his speech, Danny also moved his co-star and Mr Bigstuff writer, Ryan Sampson, to tears by dedicating his BAFTA to him in a poignant moment.
“I’d like to dedicate this to Ryan Sampson,” Danny announced. “He’s one of the greatest people ever to come out of Rotherham – not saying much. You won this for me mate.”
Praising Ryan’s exceptional talent, Danny added, “One of the best actors this country has ever produced, I’m telling you.
“He’s never done the same thing twice,” before humorously acknowledging, “Which is not something I can say!”
He finished by saying: “But, you wrote this part for me, mate. You won this for me, mate. I really appreciate it, thank you so much.”
Ryan was visibly moved to tears as he sat in the audience and applauded his Mr Bigstuff co-star.
