Hundreds of happy shoppers pictured scooping up Boxing Day bargains in Glasgow

In images captured by the Glasgow Times, loads of chuffed shoppers have been photographed on Buchanan Street on Boxing Day 2024 (Thursday, December 26).

Boxing Day, which is a holiday celebrated after Christmas Day each year, sees stores run sales allowing customers to pick up some festive bargains.

It comes after we reported how retail firms need more support to halt the decline of Scotland’s high streets according to Scottish Labour.

The party said jobs in the industry have fallen by tens of thousands and is at a 15-year low.

Employment has dropped from 258,900 in 2010 to 235,920 in 2024.
