Man stabbed on Glasgow street as cops tape off area

Police swarmed Arnprior Road in the city’s Castlemilk area after being alerted to the incident on Tuesday, July 1, shortly after 3pm.

The force received a report that a man had been seriously injured on the residential street.

The Glasgow Times understands that the man had been stabbed.

Police have sealed off a street in Glasgow amid an ongoing incident. Detectives were spotted at the scene in Castlemilk by our reporter. Live updates, link in comments or story.

(Image: Newsquest) After being alerted to the incident, emergency crews raced to the scene. Following that, the man was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.

At the moment, his condition is unknown. An investigation into the incident is underway. 

In pictures captured by the Glasgow Times, cops can be seen standing guard on the street.

Several police vehicles can also be seen parked in the area. Meanwhile, officers have also erected a cordon in the area, blocking access to Arnprior Street.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.05pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, we received a report that a man had been seriously injured at Arnprior Road in Glasgow.

“ He was taken to QEUH Hospital for treatment.

“ Enquiries are ongoing.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
