After an unbeaten season, five players from the team have been awarded scholarships to American universities to continue playing. On top of this, seven players are part of the York City Ladies reserve team.
Speaking after the awards, the players caught up with The Press.
One player, Beau Cutting, said: “It’s unbelievable, when we heard our names we were all looking at each other in shock.

“We do realise that we are capable of winning it because we all put the work in, we have great coaches, great management and great opportunities provided but the college and we just make the most of it. And that’s why we’ve come out and won everything.”
Katie Varley added: “We’re all fully supportive of each other, and we’re very proud of what we’ve done this evening and we’re just going to continue pushing and working hard.”
Looking forward to next season, Olivia Fell said: “I think next year we’ve obviously got new girls coming in and we’re looking at making a team again, winning more trophies and having another unbeaten season.”
