The Gers boss will have been stewing over his side’s defeat on penalties to Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup final ever since Daizen Maeda slotted past Jack Butland from 12 yards.
They say the best way to bounce back from a crushing defeat is to get straight back into action but there’s been no Europa League action or a midweek Premiership fixture to rectify the mind.
So it comes down to this afternoon as Rangers play Dundee, who themselves are on the back of a loss.
