Rachel Zegler Shares Pedro Pascal’s Huge Reaction To Seeing Her Perform In Evita

Let’s be honest, we all need a Pedro Pascal in our lives.

The internet has been obsessed with the former Last Of Us star for some time now, and Rachel Zegler has just given us yet another reason to love him.

The Snow White actor is currently starring as Eva Perón in the acclaimed new West End production of Evita, which has got plenty of people talking over its decision to perform the famous Don’t Cry For Me Argentina from a balcony overlooking the streets of London.

At the official opening night at the London Palladium on Tuesday, a host of stars were in attendance, including Keanu Reeves, Sarah Paulson, Ben Whishaw and original Evita star Dame Elaine Paige.

Among that star-studded crowd was our favourite hype man Pedro, who unsurprisingly displayed his support for the star throughout the whole performance.

Speaking with Hits Radio UK after the show, Rachel explained: “One thing about my daddy Pedro, he goes to bat for me in a way that I love so dearly. But he was standing after every number.”

She added that, during the song Rainbow High, he was clapping with such enthusiasm in the middle of the song that she spotted him in the crowd.

“I was like, ‘Daaaaad!’,” she joked. “But he’s the best.”

Critics had high praise for the reimagined new musical after opening night this week, which followed two weeks of preview shows.

Rachel’s acclaimed new role comes after numerous controversies followed her for months surrounding her role in the Snow White live-action movie.

She recently opened up about how she found the backlash against her “really alarming” in an interview with i-D magazine.

Evita is playing at London’s Palladium Theatre until Saturday 6 September. The show was directed by Jamie Lloyd, whose unique reimagining of Sunset Boulevard recently earned Nicole Scherzinger both an Olivier and Tony win.
