POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Police are investigating a fatal stabbing in the city of Poughkeepsie. Police said a 78-year-old woman was stabbed in the chest.
Police were called to a home on Oak Crescent around 1:20 p.m. Monday for a stabbing victim. They found the injured woman, who died after being taken to the hospital. Her identity is not being released until next of kin has been notified.
The investigation is ongoing. Police do not believe there is a threat to the public.
