The brand will be launching their first UK store outside of London this year
A Swedish clothing brand has announced plans to open its first store in the North of England. Denim brand, Nudie Jeans will open it’s ‘repair shop’ in Manchester this spring.
The brand’s first UK Repair Shop outside of London will be located in the city’s Northern Quarter, opening its doors at the end of April. Its city centre site will sell new denim products and also offer a repair service.
Billed as hub for ‘circularity and for the brand’s community’, customers will be able to return with their Nudie Jeans for free repairs for life.
”It’s in our stores that we truly connect with our customers – in person and authentically,” comments Martin Gustavsson, CCO Nudie Jeans.
“These personal interactions drive us forward, make us better, and help us build a community that cares.”

The brand also sell their own Re-Use jeans, which are pre-loved jeans brought in by customers. In return, they receive 20 percent off a new pair.
The new Repair Shop in the Northern Quarter has also been designed as a meeting place for artists and creatives, and will play host to live music events, repair workshops, panel discussions, and showcasing local Re-use initiatives.
While Nudie Jeans continue to grow their online presence, the brand remains committed to ambitious climate goals. Shipping is one of today’s biggest challenges in the textile industry, which is why the brand has implemented an omni-channel solution.
The stores in turn act as local distribution hubs, reducing the need for air freight for online orders. Instead, online orders are shipped from the nearest Nudie Jeans store and transported locally by lorry.
The UK has been earmarked as one of the brands’ largest and most important markets, and Nudie Jeans see a significant need to expand both the repair services and omni-channel solutions here.
Nudie Jeans was established in Gothenburg in 2001, fuelled by a ‘love for dry denim, punk music, and snus’. From day one, founders Maria Erixon Levin and Joakim Levin built the brand with sustainability and human rights at the core.
Nudie Jeans began repairing jeans in 2007 because each pair is meant to be “forever jeans” – the kind you repair, not replace.
Today, Nudie Jeans Repair Shops serves as shops where you can get your jeans fixed (for free), resold, or donated to Nudie Jeans’ recycling program – all to create vintage, not garbage.
The new store will be located in the Northern Quarter on Oldham Street next to Night & Day Cafe. It will open its doors on April 24.
