Petco Park to host WWE Survivor Series

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A big World Wrestling Entertainment event is coming to San Diego.

On Saturday, Nov. 29, Petco Park will become the first-ever stadium to host Survivor Series, the Padres said in a news release Tuesday.

“For over two decades, Petco Park has hosted the most iconic sports and entertainment moments in San Diego history and established a well-earned reputation as a world-class venue. We look forward to welcoming WWE’s incredible talent and passionate fanbase to America’s #1 Ballpark for what promises to be another unforgettable night in the heart of downtown San Diego,” said Padres CEO Erik Greupner.

The last WWE Premium live event to be held in San Diego was in 2008.

Last year, Survivor Series at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, generated the highest amount of money from ticket sales in the event’s history.

General ticket sales will be announced at a later date, but fans can register now to receive an exclusive presale offer.
