The University of Ottawa will take home the U Sports men’s basketball bronze medal after defeating the UPEI Panthers on Sunday.
The men’s program was hoping to secure its first national medal with a victory, but the Gee-Gees pulled away in the fourth quarter to win 86-70.
Kamari Scott had 21 points to lead the Panthers on offence.
The University of Calgary Dinos were slated to play the University of Victoria Vikes in the gold-medal game later Sunday.
