Next Friday marks seven years since the Parkland school shooting in Florida – when a former student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High walked inside and killed 17 people.
He is now serving consecutive life sentences. With dozens of school shootings since then – and a new pro-gun president in the White House – an Oscar-nominated documentary called Death by Numbers aims to provide a reminder of the broken lives which the statistics represent.
We met both the director and Parkland survivor, Sam Fuentes.
