NYRA to host summer job fair at Saratoga Race Course

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will be hosting a job fair for those interested in working at Saratoga Race Course this summer. The fair will take place on Thursday.

Attendees will be able to explore employment opportunities for this year’s July 4th Racing Festival and the 40-day summer meet. Representatives from NYRA, Can Do Sports & Entertainment Cleaning, Integrated Staffing, Union Square Events and more will be available to meet.

The racing festival, which is being held at Saratoga Race Course while construction continues at its usual Belmont Park venue, will take place from July 3 through July 6. The summer meet will run from July 10 through September 1.

Applicants must be at least 15 years old, have New York State Certified Working Papers and present a photo ID and Social Security card or I-9 alternative. Those interested in positions as security guards, cashiers and betting clerks must be at least 18 years old; security guard applicants will also need a high school degree or GED.

The job fair will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. inside the 1863 Club at Saratoga Race Course. Attendees should enter through the Wright Street entrance (Gate 8), with parking available in the adjacent lot.
