(KRON) — A man was shot late Tuesday afternoon in Livermore, the Livermore Police Department said. The shooting happened around 5 p.m. in the area of North Vasco Road and Dalton Avenue.
The victim was taken to the hospital, and he is expected to survive. There is no threat to the public at this time, police said
The northbound lanes on Vasco Road at Dalton Avenue are blocked at this time, according to California Highway Patrol. There is no estimated time for when lanes will reopen.
The public is asked to avoid the area and take alternative routes as authorities continue to investigate the shooting.
