Steeped in British motoring heritage, the blue Silver Dawn was produced as a special edition of the Silver Spur III.

The interior offers a walnut and cream leather cabin with chrome details on the dashboard.

With the Rolls-Royce signature four-door monocoque bodyshell, one lucky bidder could be driving off in style.

The powerful 6750cc V8 engine has been paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and independent suspension.

It also offers adaptive ride control, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and white wall tyres.

With a remarkably low mileage of just 30,000, the Rolls-Royce has been finished in one of the most desirable colour combinations.

The Silver Dawn holds particular significance as one of the final long-wheelbase model Rolls-Royce built at Crewe.

Before the introduction of the Silver Seraph, which incorporated BMW components, the Silver Dawn was up for grabs.

The Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit was the first model in the company’s SZ series, produced at the Crewe factory from 1980 to 1997.

A longer-wheelbase version, The Silver Spur, remained in production from 1980 until 2000.

Originally released to US customers a year before the rest of the world, only 237 Silver Dawns were produced, with just 150 made in left-hand drive.

This elegant Rolls Royce is being auctioned off with Bonhams and the bidding is currently at £15,362.

“Coming with an impressive provenance as this car’s original owner was Countess Raine Spencer, perhaps better known to the world as Diana, Princess of Wales’ stepmother,” the listing states.

“With a new Silver Dawn costing around £105,000 at the time, customer expectations were always high.

“As ever with Rolls-Royces of the era, the car could be ordered with practically limitless combinations of bespoke options.”

Whatever you ordered, you were assured the finest materials and the highest standards of craftsmanship.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a distinguished vehicle with an exceptional pedigree, combining both historical significance and timeless elegance.

Who is Princess Diana’s stepmother Countess Raine Spencer?

COUNTESS Raine Spencer was a British socialite and local politician who died aged 87 after battling a short illness.

She picked up various titles including the Countess of Dartmouth and Countess Spencer.

According to Tatler, Raine and Diana had a complicated relationship.

She was described as a villain turned confidante after being nicknamed Acid Raine in the late 80s.

The Countess was the daughter of Barbara Cartland and stepmother of Diana, Princess of Wales.

After three marriages, she tied the knot with Earl Spencer, the father of the Princess.

He was a close friend of Raine’s first husband.
