
MALTA, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Copiague man was arrested on Friday for allegedly possessing several assault weapons and large capacity ammunition feeding devices, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Matthew Maloney, 27, faces over 20 counts of felony charges.
The arrest reportedly stemmed from a medical call on Ashbury Avenue in the town of Round Lake. Authorities said Maloney was found to be in possession of three assault weapons and 19 large capacity ammunition feeding devices.
The 27-year-old was arraigned in Milton Town Court, where he was charged with the following:

- Three counts of third-degree criminal possession of an assault weapon
- 22 counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Three counts of criminal possession of a firearm
He was remanded to Saratoga County Jail where he awaits further proceedings in Malta Town Court.
