CBC K-W’s Make The Season Kind campaign raises food and funds for The Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
A report in October from the food bank showed one in eight households in the region struggled to afford food. That was up from one in 20 households in 2020.
This year, CBC K-W held a special show called The Evening Edition (a play on the local CBC Radio show The Morning Edition, heard every weekday morning from 5:57 a.m. and 8:37 a.m. at 89.1 FM, online, on the CBC Listen app or through smart speakers).
As part of that show, local musicians I, the Mountain, Mandippal and Eastwood’s Combo No. 5 performed.
