However, a heavy police presence remains in the area as the police continue to investigate an incident that occurred in an apartment building on Mooney Crescent.

In a social media post, the RNC said they arrived on scene to respond to the incident and asked the public to follow police direction.

The shelter-in-place order was issued for areas surrounding Mooney Crescent, including: Old Petty Harbour Road, Bay Bulls Road, Cemetery Lane, Silverton Street, Kilbride Avenue, Brennan Field, Densmore Lane, Huntingdale Drive, Carondale Drive, Ashbourne Drive, Royal Oak Drive, and other areas in between those streets.

The RNC say they will release more information as it becomes available.
