Jet2 to launch five new flights from UK including Greek islands & Spain resorts

JET2 has revealed the five new flights they are launching next summer – just weeks after launching at the airport.

The airline’s first flights from London Luton Airport took off earlier this month.

Travelling to Majorca, the airport is Jet2 13th base, and will be followed by another 17 destinations from Luton.

And they have since announced plans for five new destinations that will launch next year.

From May 21, 2026, two weekly flights will operate from London Luton to the Greek islands of Corfu and Kos, running until October 29.

This will be followed by weekly flights to Skiathos from May 23 next year until October 10.

And from May 24 to November 1, flights will operate once week to Preveza.

Outside of Greece, new fights a week will launch from Luton to Menorca from May 5 to October 30.

Prices for the flights are yet to be revealed.

The addition of Skiathos and Preveza, along with the routes Girona and Verona, make Jet2 the exclusive operator of the destinations from Luton.

Extra flight capacity is being added to a number of other destinations next summer as well, including the Greek islands of Crete, Rhodes and Zante.

Majorca, Fuerteventura and Antalya will also have more capacity in summer 2026.

Jet2 boss Steve Heapy said they had been “overwhelmed” with the positive feedback after launching from London Luton.

He added: With five brand-new routes, additional capacity, and extra aircraft coming into operation, our Summer 26 programme gives holidaymakers exactly what they want – more choice and flexibility.”

London Luton Airport CCO Jonathan Rayner also said: “The arrival of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays at London Luton Airport has certainly caught the attention of our sun seeking passengers who are already capitalising on the exciting choice of new routes and destinations on our departure boards.

“We are thrilled to see this continued investment from Jet2, ensuring even greater choice and flexibility for the millions of passengers who choose LLA to kickstart their summer travels each year.”

London Luton Airport was recently named the best budget airline airport in the UK.

Named in this year’s Skytrax awards, it was named the best mid-size airport last year, and the UK’s best airport in 2023.

The airport is even undergoing a huge renovation with an entire new terminal being built.

Set to open by 2040, it will cost around £2.4billion and double the airport’s capacity to 32million passengers a year.
