
DENVER (KDVR) — The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was found in the Dillon Reservoir.
At around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that deputies were investigating a deceased body found near the disc golf course on the Frisco Peninsula. The area is in the southern part of the reservoir near CO Hwy 9.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation was unrelated to the prior events near Bill’s Ranch. According to Summit Daily, deputies were searching for a masked suspect who reportedly fled from police from Breckenridge to Frisco on Wednesday.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Summit County Coroner’s Office at a later time. The cause of death will also be released later.
