SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — An incarcerated person walked away from a Male Community Reentry Program in San Diego County last week.
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is looking for 51-year-old Nick A. Lopez, the agency said in a news release Friday.
On Friday, around 2:40 p.m., officials conducted a search for Lopez after being informed that he had removed his GPS device.
Lopez is described as measuring 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing around 250 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, according to CDCR officials. He was last seen wearing black jeans and a black and white sweater/jacket.
On Sept. 13, 2023, Lopez was most recently received from San Diego County after being sentenced to five years and four months for second-strike offenses that include vehicle theft with prior vehicle-related theft conviction and possessing/owning a firearm by felon/addict.
Lopez has been housed at MCRP-San Diego since March 4.
Anyone who knows Lopez or about his whereabouts should contact any law enforcement agency, 911, or Special Agent Brian Hernandez at 619-666-5522.
