Snow showers linger for the first half of Thursday for the central and northern mountains. Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories are in effect through 6 p.m. with an additional 1-4 inches of snow.
Denver could see an early flurry with clearing skies by the second half of the day. Winds could be brisk in the early afternoon as high temperatures are seasonal in the middle 40s.

Skies continue to stay mainly clear Thursday night. Winds will slow as temperatures dip into the middle 20s.

Looking ahead: More snow chances
Friday is a mild day with mainly sunny skies and above-average highs in the lower 50s.
Saturday has clouds increasing through the day with highs in the mid-40s. Snow showers push into the Front Range on Saturday evening and linger overnight.
The snow looks to wrap up by Sunday morning with gradual clearing in the afternoon. Totals in the metro look minimal, like an inch — maybe two. Highs on Sunday are chilly for the Broncos game as Denver tops out in the upper 30s.

Monday has a mix of sun and clouds with the cool highs staying in the upper 30s.
Tuesday is a little cooler with highs in the middle 30s, cloudy skies, and snow showers throughout the day.
Sunshine returns by Wednesday with seasonal highs in the lower 40s.
