People ‘covered in blood’ after double-decker bus crashes into rail bridge

Several people have been injured after a double-decker bus “drove straight into a rail bridge”.

Emergency services are currently at the scene on Cook Street, in Glasgow, after the incident happened at about 5.55pm.

Pictures show the front of the roof of the First Bus vehicle ripped off.

Witnesses said some passengers had been struck and were covered in blood, the Daily Record reports.

A 26-year-old sound engineer said: “We drove straight into the bridge. It was quite shocking.”
