GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) — The Georgetown Independent School District Board of Trustees signed off on a $260 million budget for the next school year during Monday night’s meeting.
The district said that amount is based on previous state funding figures. It does not yet, however, include a new compensation plan for teachers and staff following the legislative session.
The board said it expects a budget amendment for that in August.
Also during Monday night’s meeting, the board looked at turnaround plans for two of its schools, Cooper Elementary School and Wagner Middle School.
The board’s next meeting is slated for July 21.
