A man in his 30s is dead after a truck and a TTC bus collided in Scarborough on Tuesday, Toronto police say.
The crash happened near Meadowvale Road and Sheppard Avenue E. Police were called to the intersection at about 6:10 p.m.
Police said the truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No one on the TTC bus was injured.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, police said they had received reports that the truck driver had been ejected from his vehicle but the reports have not been confirmed.
Sheppard Ave E. is closed between Meadowvale Road and Idagrove Gate and Meadowvale Road is closed between Dean Park Road and Zoo Road as officers investigate the crash.
CBC Toronto has reached out to the TTC for comment, but it has not yet responded.
