Driver crosses 3 lanes in San Jose, ends in 13th traffic death of 2025

(KRON) — A driver is dead after he crossed all three traffic lanes and struck a parked vehicle then a tree overnight Monday, said the San Jose Police Department. The crash marks both the 13th deadly traffic collision and traffic death for the City of San Jose this year.

The incident took place at 1:49 a.m. in the area of Parkmoor Avenue and Highway 280 off-ramp. The man succumbed to his injuries after he was taken to a nearby hospital.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office.
