GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Current Glens Falls Mayor Bill Collins is running for his second term, and Glens Falls Third Ward Councilmember Diana Palmer is running against him in the democratic mayoral primary.
Palmer was leading the vote by 71 percent Tuesday night. She previously told NEWS10 her biggest concern is the lack of a plan to keep Glens Falls on the track that it’s on. She applauds the recent investments made to the downtown area, but she wants a comprehensive plan to make sure city leaders are making informed decisions.
Collins said his biggest accomplishment during his first term is the revitalization of the South St. area. It was done partly with a $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant from the state of New York.
