DENVER (KDVR) — It’s going to be a mild weekend in Denver weather while the mountains enjoy a few rounds of snow.
Weather today: Mild in the metro, snow in mountains
Temperatures in Denver will be above average all weekend, in the mid 50s on Saturday then warming into the low 60s on Sunday. Look for partly cloudy skies Saturday before more sunshine to round off the weekend.
While it’s mild in the metro, the mountains are getting a few more rounds of snow. Winter Weather Advisories are in place for the Interstate 70 corridor from 11 a.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Sunday with 4-11 inches of snow excepted and gusty winds.
A Winter Storm Warning is in place for Rabbit Ears Pass with 8-18 inches of snow anticipated. After a brief break on Sunday, another round moves in on Sunday evening.
Looking ahead: Mild before a New Year’s cool-down
After a mild weekend, a gusty Monday will usher in change just in time for the New Year. Temperatures drop into the 30s on Tuesday and the first day of 2025 temps will be in the low 40s.
Temperatures cool to the upper 30s and lower 40s for the end of 2024 and beginning of 2025.
