Denver weather: 50s today, warmer air coming

DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver weather forecast quiets down a bit this weekend after a brief bout of precipitation Friday and very gusty winds.

For the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, it will be chilly in the morning with temperatures in the 30s and relatively light winds. Winds will gradually increase by the end of the parade.

Denver weather: 50s today, warmer air coming

There is a Fire Weather Watch in effect for south central Colorado tomorrow, outdoor burning is not recommended due to low humidity, warm temperatures and high winds.

Weather today: Partly cloudy skies and breezy

Saturday starts out sunny in Denver and eastern Colorado, but clouds will increase during the afternoon. Although the mountains may still see a few snow showers, dry conditions are expected across the eastern half of the state. Winds will occasionally gust to 25-30 miles per hour.

Weather tonight: Still some clouds with a breeze

Partly cloudy skies dominate much of the metro overnight as lows sink down into the middle to upper 20s. Winds will be out of the northwest anywhere from 5-15 mph with gusts as high as 20.

Looking ahead: Another chance for rain and snow

Tomorrow will feature more sun and breezy conditions. St. Patrick’s Day will be sunny, warm, and still breezy. Temperatures should easily get into the 70s across eastern Colorado.

The next chance of precipitation looks to arrive during the Tuesday to Wednesday time frame. There’s still a lot of uncertainty with this storm, but continued gusty winds are likely, as well as another chance at rain and snow. This system may have a better opportunity to bring some accumulating snow to the city.
