Staff and patients at doctors surgery evacuated by firefighters

Hampshire Fire and Rescue were called to Lordshill Health Centre after a fire alarm sounded in the building just before 10.40am. 

Those inside the practice were forced onto the street and gathered outside while the fire service made sure the health centre was safe.

A fire service spokesperson told the Echo: “A crew from Redbridge were called to Lordshill Health Centre at 10.38am this morning following reports of an alarm sounding.

“Firefighters left the scene shortly after 11am.”
