Andy Farrell was animated in the half-time huddle in Perth, urging his team to deliver more as they faced into the restart 21-7 up and with Henry Pollock in the sin-bin.
He looked a happier man at the end as his Lions announced themselves to the Australian audience with a performance that, while far from flawless, had enough about it to suggest they’ll give the locals plenty of entertainment in the next few weeks.
