
GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Guilderland man is facing multiple charges after police said he slashed another man early Sunday morning. The alleged altercation took place around 12:45 a.m. on Windingbrook Drive.
Police said a 44-year-old man was found with serious injuries to his back and abdomen area. He was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
The suspect was identified as Douglas Martak, 54. Police said he slashed the victim during an altercation.
Martak was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with attempted murder in the second degree, assault in the first and second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
He was arraigned and sent to the Albany County Jail.
