Last week Darlington Libraries opened up the Grotto experiences and already children are loving seeing Santa and his two elves.
Included in the visit is a present for underneath your tree and some reindeer food to show Santa the way on Christmas Eve.
This week there are parties with the Grinch and Cindy-Lou lined up and live music on Saturday.
(Image: Darlington Borough Council) A Darlington Libraries spokesperson said: “On Wednesday (11 Dec) Darlington Libraries opened up its first Santa’s Grotto experiences. Babies and preschool children had a personal meet and greet with Santa Claus and his two elves, and received a gift-wrapped present for underneath the tree, alongside some (animal-friendly) reindeer food to sprinkle outside their house on Christmas Eve to help Santa and his faithful reindeer to find their way.
“Alongside festive crafts and a trail, children and their families had a magical time.
“There is more festive fun to come with a (fully booked) party with The Grinch and Cindy-Lou, and there’s live music from the Voices of Darlington from 11am on Saturday (14 Dec) (Free- drop in).
