Tuesday forecast: Sunny and chilly, but warmer than it's been the last few days around Chicagoland

It’s still going to be chilly around Chicagoland on Tuesday, but not as cold as it’s been the last several days.
In fact, with high temperatures around freezing by the afternoon, it’s going to be the warmest day in about a week, though still below the normal high of around 40 for this time of year.
It will also be a sunny Tuesday, although a slight westerly breeze has dropped early-morning wind chills to single digits in some locations. Early-morning air temps, meanwhile, ranged mostly in the teens.

Wednesday is projected to begin quietly, but a chance for snow showers develops toward the afternoon hours. Temps will climb to the mid- to upper 30s on Wednesday, but they crash back down into the mid-20s on Thursday.
Then they’ll climb again by the weekend, possibly reaching the upper 40s by Sunday.
